AMI Vintage Images

About the archive

From a darkroom restoration project in 2008 to a 12,000-plate rights-managed collection.

Our work

AMI Vintage Images began when founder Anna M. Ivers inherited a box of Route 66 negatives from her grandfather's gas station. What started as a personal restoration project grew into a full archive of Americana, portraits, and industrial plates.

Today we steward estate acquisitions from across the United States—each negative scanned at 4,000 DPI, color-corrected, and catalogued with provenance notes for editorial, design, and museum clients.

Restoration standards

  • ICC-profiled delivery (Adobe RGB or sRGB)
  • Optional dust-removal master layer
  • No AI upscaling—only optical scans
